C White Fir – White Fir White Fir shafts are a product of the company TAS – Switzerland. They are historically their primary product in the field of arrow shaft production. After many years, they returned to their production due to the demand for professional shafts and also because of the quality. These shafts are characterized by an 8% greater density than spruce wood. The modulus of rupture is higher than spruce (spruce 63.0 MPa and fir 66.1 MPa). The modulus of elasticity is lower in fir than in spruce, which provides good conditions for a better range of spine (spruce 9.70 GPa and fir 8.28 GPa). Fir is characterized by a higher compressive strength than spruce (spruce 35.5 MPa and fir 41.0 MPa). These shafts have a closer range of the required spine than spruce. | |
